Data Scientist / AI Engineer

We are looking for a Data Scientist / AI Engineer to join our technology team to solve exciting business problems in the domain of Healthcare. As a Data Scientist, you'll work on challenging data science and AI projects covering different AI models such as but not limited to Linear & Logistic regression, Decision trees, Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors, Support vector machines, Random Forest, Deep neural networks etc. As well as latest Natural Language Processing (NLP) models for named entity recognition, text matching and generation and other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Work in multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into artificial intelligence goals and solution architecture;
• Proactively propose, defend and own ML solutions for given business objective;
• Research, and develop novel AI solutions independently and as part of a team;
• Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and accuracy;
• Ensure scalability and future maintenance of the designed ML models;
• Maintain, support and improve existing models in production;
• Measure risks associated with ML model deployment and maintenance;
• Regularly revisit the ML solutions and perform code refactoring for performance and readability improvements;
• Collaborate with ML operations (MLOps), data engineers, and IT to deliver end-to-end ML pipelines and solutions;
• Continuously monitor execution and health of production ML models;
• Interpret ML model for non-ML audience;
• Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to leadership;
• Write and maintain technical documentation for designed solutions.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in machine learning algorithms such as multi-class classifications, decision trees, support vector machines and deep learning;
• Strong understanding of probability and statistical models (generative and descriptive models), Advanced programming skills with C/C++, Python, Java or R;
• Ability to run experiments scientifically and analyze results;
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and results to technical and business audiences in a comprehensive manner;
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams, including data curation, teams, development teams, product management and operations;
• More than three years of experience in developing and deploying enterprise-scale machine learning solutions;
• Substantial Coding knowledge and experience in several languages: for example, [R, Python, Java, Scala, C++, MATLAB, etc.];
• Experience with popular database programming languages including [SQL, PL/SQL, others] for relational databases and nonrelational databases such as [NoSQL/Hadoop-oriented databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, others];
• Experience with distributed data/computing tools: MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka is a plus;
• Experience of working across Azure/AWS or other cloud environments is a plus;
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
