We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer to join one of our international squads with members located across EU and the UK. As part of the EMEA Market Fit squad you will be supporting Lightspeed's Hospitality product group on the mission to expand our reach into new markets and countries while enhancing our advanced hospitality commerce platform.

What you’ll be responsible for:

• Work alongside some of the most brilliant minds in the industry, you will contribute to the omnichannel product by building new features and creative workflows.

• Create and extend the functionality of our products by contributing to our microservice-based platform running on AWS.

• Your daily tasks will be split between development of new features and supporting existing functionality of our Cloud application, while new features will dominate as we constantly open new markets.

• Report to the Development Manager and have frequent interactions with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Platform Teams.

• Take part in daily agile ceremonies, brainstorm on innovative ideas that challenge the /status quo/, and implement solutions.

• Act as an advocate for the highest code quality and ownership while contributing to the health of the infrastructure.

• Raise the bar and elevate your team by sharing knowledge and best practices while always seeking improvement and progress.

Backend tech stack: Java 11-17, Spring boot, Kafka, Redis, AWS, MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Elastic, NodeJS, Go, Python.

What you'll be bringing to the team:

• Outstanding Java knowledge with 5+ years of production usage experience

• Spring Boot, Maven or Gradle

• Experience with cloud environments like GCP, AWS, and cloud solutions like Kubernetes, Docker, etc.

• Experience with real-time messaging systems (Pub/Sub, Kafka, etc.)

• Experience with both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases

• A solid foundation of knowledge in computer science

• Communication skills in English (С1) and Russian

What will increase your chances:

• One additional backend language (Python, Go)

• Experience writing automated unit and functional tests

• Experience working in an Agile development environment

• Computer Sciences degree or equivalent
