Situated on the river banks of Essil, in the heart of Astana's Central Park and in the center of the Diplomatic district The St. Regis Astana will open early 2017.

120 sumptuous guest suites feature a unique identity of discreet luxury. The hotel will embrace a specialty grill restaurant where guests enjoy an unrivaled service and sample the best ingredients or indulge in the flawless luxury of Iridium Spa after a long day of captivating city impressions or business meetings.

Position Purpose:

  • Create and execute strategic marketing plans through superior consumer insights, creative and innovative media and in-store merchandised plans.
  • This position will appeal to a highly motivated, flexible individual who enjoys working to pre agreed goals in a busy and changing environment. Reporting to and working closely with the Marketing Manager this role will require daily communication with key department heads.

Essential Functions:

  • Remains current with market trends and our consumer base via market research.
  • Ensures the brand positioning is relevant and compelling to our consumer base.
  • Develops the annual marketing plan, calendar, and budget to be submitted as part of the Division’s annual business plan.
  • Oversees co-op advertising program.
  • Under the guidance of the General Manager, research and identify specific pieces of collateral required to support the sales process. This will range from hotel brochures to specific promotional requirements across the property.
  • Identify and create marketing programmes to support the Hotel and Residence marketing plan and need periods across Rooms, Spa and F&B if applicable.
  • Ensure that all details of the proposed programme are researched fully, communicated internally and executed through an effective communications plan.
  • Liaise with appointed designers, supplying a written brief outlining the specific objectives, target market and any additional information as required ensuring that the Director of Sales and GM is kept aware of all progress.
  • Working closely with an appointed agency to take full responsibility for the creation of a bi-annual newsletter. This involves the generation of internal articles, assisting with copywriting, proof checking and layout decisions.
  • Ensure that all deadlines are met and each edition is delivered to a pre-agreed timing plan.
  • To take responsibility for the day to day liaison with the appointed database management company.
  • Ensure that weekly guest data is recorded and delivered to Marketing Manager, DOSM & GM and all actions required to maintain a clean and accurate database are completed.
  • Identify through brainstorming sessions with key department heads opportunities to execute value-added mailings to this database in line with the Hotel’s revenue objectives.

Supportive Functions:

  • Proof check specific design jobs where required to a high degree of accuracy recording all errors and communicating to Marketing Manager or the appointed designer where appropriate.
  • Take day to day responsibility for the management of the property website.
  • Upon completion of required training this position will be responsible for updating the web pages with promotional information, rate offers and new information.
  • This will require liaison with all departments within the Hotel and an accurate follow-through timeously to ensure all opportunities are maximised.
  • Keep accurate records of all communications and ensure that all agreed deadlines are adhered to and all communications are a 5 star standard.

Qualification Standards:

Education:

  • Bachelor degree required, additional education in sales and marketing fields is a preference.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in brand/product marketing with experience in traditional consumer marketing is required.

Grooming:

  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
