Communication Specialist (AV producer)

Communication specialist contributes to designing, planning and implementing communication projects and activities in coordination with the Head of Communication department. S/he contributes to representing the ICRC externally and building the necessary understanding and support for the ICRC among key stakeholders.

Function description:

• Plans, produces (from the concept stage to the final product, including commissioning content, carrying out film missions and scriptwriting), promotes and distributes communication products (e.g., videos, photo galleries) that target television and digital news broadcasters as well as ICRC digital platforms.
• Support media relations in collaboration with the spokesperson.
• Develops and maintains a network of external contacts with agencies, broadcasters and other media; manages external creative suppliers, including writing contracts and handling related budgets.
• Develops and contributes to communication campaigns and tools to raise awareness about humanitarian issues.

Required skills:

• University degree in communication, marketing or journalism, preferably with an audio-visual specialization.
• Minimum 3 years’ work experience in communications, preferably in audio-visual production.
• Experience in media relations is an asset.
• Fluent spoken and written English (B2-C1).
• Skilled computer user of video production software (e.g. Final Cut Pro) and design tools (e.g. Photoshop)
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Readiness to travel.
• Experience in project management is an asset.
• Familiar with the basics of social media, web distribution and search engine optimization to ensure the content is seen by key audiences.

Terms and conditions:

• Full-time indefinite employment contract;
• Monthly salary 120’000 RUB before taxes, 13th salary, medical insurance.
