Description of the Role
As our Academic Head for Online English Teaching & Learning, you will oversee & drive the company’s online platform and courses development strategy, teacher training programming, and student learning outcomes. You will act as a leader in building teaching & course design teams and organizing processes to create effective and user-friendly online English learning curriculum and experiences for a global audience.
You will also work on engaging a wider teacher and student community to identify their needs and inspire them to co-create accessible and effective courses.
The position is open to remote work. Full-time contract.
Areas of Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee the company’s course design and development strategy
- Improve current courses, instructional design, and UX in accordance with students’ and teachers’ feedback and learning metrics
- Develop dashboards to track student and teacher engagement with courses and to identify areas of improvement.
- Streamline course development and teams.
- Integrate new functions & new technologies to increase student learning outcomes & effective teaching and work closely with the development team
- Oversee the company’s teacher hiring, training, and development strategies
- Participate in online video content creation.
- Participate in decision-making & management board
- Oversee a team of 20-25 internationally based teachers of English and 3 course designers.
Professional qualifications & requirements
- Diploma of higher education in related fields (English Learning Pedagogies, Innovative Technologies in Learning, Education Management, etc).
- Proficiency in the Academic English language
- In-depth knowledge of teaching progression within EFL and Academic English
- Proven experience in the English language course design for online learning environments
- Proven results in the positions that required independent work mode.

- Effective communication with cross-disciplinary teams including IT or marketing department
